Recessionista Sundays: March 8, 2009

hello brooklyn fashionistas! let's be honest... is there a better way to start your Sunday than with some vintage shopping at Collecther and free mimosas? what a Sunday we had this past weekend... the store was chock-full of new and old collecthers taking full advantage of Recessionista Sunday.
Chicago's very own Zawadi stopped through for a fashion fix. she's a collecther to the core and can attest to the fact that Chicago has some of the best vintage. she started her day with her eye on this cream knit dress.

it's Tara, another veteran collecther! she dropped by to pick-up her favorite jeans from our Sunday Denim Drop-off. bring your favorite pair of busted jeans for some revival therapy and pick them up the following Sunday. Tara hung out for a while and saw just how busy things get on Sundays.
POW! if you're not afraid of bold colors and patterns, this terry cloth mini might be the piece for you. can be worn as a mini dress or paired with jeans and sandals.

paired with a belt, this black disco dress with gold trim takes on a whole new look. wear it alone and the slinky silhouette is ready for the evening.

Apples Don't Fall Far...

this mother and daughter duo came to shop vintage together and had a ball. it's never too early to be a collecther and develop an appreciation for fashion from the past.
this little collecther got started early, trying on dresses and modeling for the store.
taking a break from fashion to read is so much better when you're dressed like a princess and  reclining on a velvet chaise lounge.
this is an arty photo [aka not sure what happened here, but i like how it turned out]. as the little one plays, mom tries on and looks great in this black Barneys Co-op trench.
this striped dolman dress fits Alicia's figure perfectly... of course, she'll pair it with a different undergarment, though the one she's wearing here is pretty cute!
O.C. [original collecther] Michelle stopped by in search of the perfect dress.
judging by how good that smile, i think she found it! she scored this amazing ruffle red ruffle trim dress and it looks fantastic on her.

recessionista price $25
O.C. Victoria stopped by and capped off the end to another great Sunday at Collecther. see you next week!
